The White Stripes świętują 20. rocznicę wydania albumu „White Blood Cells”

25 czerwca w serwisach digitalowych ukazuje się specjalna edycja albumu „White Blood Cells”, która zawiera bonusowe wykonania na żywo, nagrane w legendarnym klubie Gold Dollar w Detroit. To właśnie tam The White Stripes zagrali swój pierwszy koncert 7 czerwca 2001 roku, wykonując wszystkie utwory z albumu.


Nazwany przez magazyn Rolling Stone „idealnym połączeniem nieuniknionych, wiecznych melodii z brudnymi, gitarowymi riffami” album ukazał się 20 lat temu, a dokładnie 3 lipca 2001 roku. Już 22 października ukaże się specjalna winylowa wersja „White Blood Cells” na czarnym krążku. Cały album został zremasterowany na potrzeby nowego wydania z okazji 20-tej rocznicy.

Wiosną tego roku ukazała się długo oczekiwana wersja undergroundowego utworu „Seven Nation Army” zremiksowana przez amerykańską grupę muzyczną The Glitch Mob. Będzie on dostępny jako 7-calowy winylowy singiel już 9 lipca. Zawierać będzie utwór „Seven Nation Army (The Glitch Mob Remix)” na stronie A, wraz z logo Third Man Records wytłoczonym na stronie B.
